Although it is one of the most magical days of your life, a wedding requires a lot of preparation and planning. There are a lot of decisions to make for the special occasion, from the ceremony location to the dinner menu (and the flavor of the cake, obviously). Perhaps the biggest choice of all? Your dress. It’s the number you’ll wear as you walk down the aisle in front of all your family and friends, about to enter your next chapter. If you just got engaged, congratulations! – and you’re about to navigate the shopping scene, check out the trends from Fall 2025 Bridal Fashion Week. Hopefully, they’ll help you narrow down your search.
Flower power
The flowers on your wedding day may not necessarily be innovative, but they sure have a fun touch. If you’re drawn to bold details, check out the striking 3D flowers on Galia Lahav’s off-the-shoulder lace dress. Or, for something simpler but still feminine, the floral accents from Alexandra Grecco’s collection fit the bill. Finally, Francesca Miranda’s delicate embroidered look hits a sweet spot between eye-catching and minimalist.
Skinny Scarf Revival
The next sentence will either excite you or scare you: thin scarves have made a triumphant return. First, they got the runway seal of approval and now, bridal designers are championing the early-inspired accessory. But before you immediately think “not at all,” know this: style is very different today, especially when it comes to brides. At NYBFW, brands like Sassi Holford, Hera Couture, and Lihi Hod styled the look backwards on models, adding the perfect amount of oomph to their wedding dresses. In short, the piece is a fresh and unexpected alternative to a luxury necklace.
Chic Corsets
If you’re looking for a dress with ample support, look no further than a corset silhouette. Radiating regency vibes, this vintage-inspired style adds structure to a dress. Watters approached the trend with a lace bodice paired with a pleated tulle skirt. Meanwhile, Pnina Tornai and Yuliia Lobachóva’s shots look more lingerie-like, thanks to visible boning.
Show your shoulders
Show some skin in a subtle and elegant way with an off-the-shoulder dress. The trend came in many flavors this week, from Ese Azenabor’s crystal-covered dress with a dramatic train to Justin Alexander Signature’s delicate lace style (which also included a corset). Then there was the unique Wona Concept iteration that features slightly different sleeve silhouettes, finished off with tulle drapes.
Drop it low
This year, drop-waist silhouettes have taken over the fashion industry, including the bridal scene. And clearly, the trend is still going strong, according to NYBFW. Christian Siriano Bridal for Azazie, for example, offered a princess version of the look, complete with a full, voluminous skirt. Renhue and Jenny Yoo took a more minimalist route, opting for sweetheart necklines and floor-length hemlines.
